Precision, Passion and Stamina - The Eventer’s Story

Eventing is a rough, tough test of skill and endurance and as a member of the Senior British Team at just 27 years old, Polly can’t afford to compromise. With a thriving yard and 16 highly tuned competition horses to care for, good stabling is essential. That’s where Scotts - the masters in stabling - can help.

Precision Designing the right stable yard requires meticulous planning and, like the dressage discipline, the aim is to achieve balance and harmony between horse, rider and the environment. Intelligent design makes everyone’s job easier. For example, extending the roof overhang and placing the wash-down area next to the loose boxes allows horses to be cooled down quickly after exercise and bedded down without exposure to the elements. Attention to every detail counts -fitting rug hooks in all the boxes contributes to a cleaner and more efficient yard and good looks are important too. The clock tower, tiled roof and aged timber frame braces combine to give the yard a poised, graceful elegance.

Endurance The sturdy design and rugged construction of Scotts’ stables is legendary. Engineered from superior materials and built with durability in mind, they last for generations and outclass their rivals every time. Heavy-duty kick boards, extra wide doors (made to Scotts’ own design) and a virtually indestructible door-frame protected by galvanised steel all contribute to the class-leading performance.

Fitness Healthy horses keep their condition better if they are looked after properly and years of experience have taught Scotts how to create the right environment. Good ventilation is provided by a combination of louvred windows, gable-end vents and built-in cross ventilation while additional ventilation is available with the option of rear top doors. High-tolerance manufacture eliminates any unwanted draughts while the inclusion of porous matting and properly positioned water feeders and mangers make life easier for everyone.
